Shine is an exciting three-level course for teenagers which features a clear and systematic approach to grammar set within a topic-based framework. The fresh photographic look and motivating topic-based units which focus on teenage students' interests will strongly appeal to this age group. In each unit, language is introduced through a dialogue involving the characters from the photos, which is then followed by a series of comprehension and practice activities to consolidate the language. Each topic-based unit presents interesting perspectives on areas of interest to teenagers which will really get them talking! Project work: There are nine projects at the back of the Student's Book which can be used in a variety of ways, either as group work, at the end of a unit, or as homework. They can also be used with fast finishers in mixed ability classes. Whichever way they are used, projects are an invaluable way to encourage student creativity and self-expression. Other key features throughout each unit: A 'Grammar File', which summarises grammar within each lesson. A 'Sound File' which focuses on sounds and intonation.
