This text starts with an introduction covering sources of electric energy, topology and historical development. It then goes on to analyze AC power in polyphase networks. An eposition of transformers is covered in one entire chapter, followed by a detailed look at transmission and distribution systems in the next. Load flow and symmetrical components are considered, as is system protection. The basics of electromechanics are included. This book is unique in its teaching of synchronous machines, DC machines and permanent magnet machines. It also helpfully covers induction machine models.
