This Victorian artist/architect A. Welby Pugin is perhaps best known for his work on the Houses of Parliament in the neo-Gothic style, but he also produced a wealth of beautiful ecclesiastical designs that hark back to their medieval roots. Hundreds of his best designs for embellishing crosses, altar cloths, and church vestments are shown in magnificent colour on the 59 plates in this new anthology.
